A weekend to cherish for Horse Weigh Ambassador, Harry Meade, with his two remarkable horses, Cavalier Crystal (Nell) and Superstition (Slinky).
Showing his true class as a talented rider, Harry navigated both of his mounts flawlessly around the cross country course, finishing within the optimum time on both. He was one of only 6 riders to achieve this feat at the Badminton Horse Trials 2025. This accomplishment follows his previous triumph at the Kentucky Horse Trials, where he was the sole rider to complete the course within the alloted time successfully on both of his horses, Et Hop Du Matz (Hoppy), who finished 3rd, and Grafennacht (Lillie), who took 4th place.
Cavalier Crystal secured 4th place, thanks to a strong performance in both cross country and showjumping phases, maintaining his dressage score of 33.8 without any penalties to add.
Superstition delivered an impressive dressage performance, scoring 31.8, followed by an excellent cross country round. However, two fences down in the showjumping phase caused Harry to slip slightly in the rankings, ultimately finishing in a very commendable 6th place.
Additionally, Harry was awarded the Mifflin Trophy by the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort for being the closest competitor to the optimum time in the cross country phase. This accolade speaks volumes, as Harry is proving to be one of the most consistent riders in the world right now in cross country!
