Developed in 1992, Horse Weigh is the ultimate manufacturer of mobile horse weighbridges, horse weighing platforms and horse weighing scales.

The Horse Weigh is an invaluable asset for all equine industries. From monitoring peak fitness weights to newborn foals to weighing mares’ placentas, the Horse Weigh provides insight into all aspects of equine health and wellbeing.

Ten out of the twelve models are completely mobile, whilst still being fabricated from high-quality aluminium. Keeping all products of a strong construction, but light for easy mobility.

The structural aluminium frame is welded to an exceptional standard with bolts/nuts of stainless steel, making all models rust proof and long-lasting. The surface on all platforms is a very high-quality and washable astroturf. This includes the use of power-washers. This flooring provides a quiet and inviting weighing environment for all equine.

All platforms are walk on/walk off, and the Olympic and Curragh have removable filled-in sides.

All Horse Weigh platforms are easily transportable, whether that be carrying or using transport trolleys (dollys). It can easily be taken to events, race meetings, or other yards and erected in minutes.

All platforms can be used on any solid surface, whether that be grass, sand or concrete, and on a gradient up to 11.2cm (4.4 inches) fall from front to back. Horse Weigh platforms can be left outside at all times.

Horse Weigh uses state-of-the-art electronic weighing technology: EziWeigh. This technology is very user-friendly and is the only component that requires any external source of electricity. Furthermore, this electricity is only needed for recharge once every 500+ horses, significantly reducing environmental impact. The EziWeigh will automatically turn itself off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Powered by an internal mains rechargeable battery, Horse Weigh platforms guarantee +/-1% accuracy. The weight stabilises after a few seconds of the horse being on the platform, despite any horse movement. The horse does not have to be stationary for its weight to be read.

No calibration is every required, and the load cells are not affected by changes in temperature.

Horse Weigh will accurately weigh the smallest to the largest of horses. Horse Weigh has a maximum capacity of 1500kg (overload capacity 3000kg i.e. if a horse rears etc.)

During the engineering development stage, static load tests were carried out to confirm the structural design calculations. These were based on British Standards, and to check the adequacy of the principal welds.
